This blog gives our family and friends a chance to be involved in our lives and watch our children grow. We have been blessed with four beautiful children; Ethan, Gracie, Lexie & Eli. Lexie and Eli were both born with Hydrocephalus. Siblings with Hydrocephalus is rare, yet not unheard of.

Cooing vs. Sleeping
A couple nights ago, Ethan had slept from 9:30pm to 4:30am without waking up!!! Therefore, you could say that Eric and I finally sighed in relief thinking that our child was finally starting to sleep longer which also meant that we could actually get more sleep too. Wrong! Ethan has been still sleeping pretty well, not 9-4 well, but instead of waking up only to eat. He now wakes up and starts talking. (I have no clue where he gets that from because there isn’t a big talker in our family) Now you are thinking oh heck, I can sleep through him talking, right? Wrong again! Our son notices when there doesn’t seem to be an audience listening to his intriguing conversation and then starts to scream. So it is 2am and I am busy trying to rock him back to sleep. Yet Ethan doesn’t look a bit tired or hungry and is still cooing away about something. He is cooing and I am saying for the love of GOD, go to bed. It is hilarious but also aggravating because during the day when I want him to coo for mommy, he doesn’t. Oh well, hopefully he will learn to talk to me during the day and in his dreams at night.
