Visit from the cousins!

Last week (I know...I know! I am behind!) my sister and her three boys came up for a mid-summer visit. We had a great time showing them around San Antonio. We were busy playing so hard that by the end of the visit, we were all exhausted! Enjoy the pictures!

Oh yeah, the first 7 pictures I took with my 'so old I don't care if it falls off of a roller coaster' camera, so not the best quality. Lexie did not join us for the trip to Six Flags because it was INSANELY HOT! She enjoyed the wonderful invention that we call air conditioner at my good friend Amy's house.
Thanks Amy!!! Even though we missed Lexie it was quite nice not to lug a diaper bag through six flags and actually being able to go on the rides with Ethan and Gracie instead of watching from the sidelines. Especially since Ethan is such an adrenaline junkie!

Pure excitement to be at Six Flags!

Sometimes the older cousin just has to grin and bear it for the sake of a younger cousin.
Trevin was a really good sport!

Stem Cell #3

Last week Lexie and I flew to North Carolina for her last round of stem cells. It was great seeing Dr. K again as well as her staff. They are such wonderful people and make the situation as painless as possible. Well Lexie may disagree since she was the one getting poked but she is just a little biased ;). Dr. K said she was very happy with Lexie's progress and hopes to see more developmental progress. We do too!! It was a very quick trip so we were in and out of North Carolina really fast but I do have to say it is really pretty and green during the summer months. The last two visit were in the winter so this was a nice break.

Lexie would not look at the camera.
She was being a little difficult.

North Carolina is REALLY wooded!
Something us desert people are not used too.

Catch Up

These pictures are from last week but I am barely posting them now...go figure!
Also, I want to add that Ethan knows he is not allowed on the street
when we are not present, which is never.
If you pay close attention to the video he will wait for us to give him the all clear.
No need to freak out!

The other day I was asked if Ethan has always been a daredevil. The first thing that came to my mind was this video, so yes, Ethan has always been crazy.

Lexie and I chilling in the shade

She was bouncing in this one trying to get it to go!

She even loves it!

"Hey Ethan, please get down."
"Sure Mom"
And that is how he got down. He isn't aware that his knees need to last for his lifetime.

Lexie's Dolly!

A precious moment between Lexie and her baby. She will roll to her anytime she sees her and will often keep rolling with her once she has found her. I love when I spot her kissing her!

Go-Kart...just what we needed?!

As soon as Eric realized that we had a daredevil on our hands, his first instinct was to wrap Ethan in bubble wrap. Oh wait, that was my mine. Eric's was to build him a go-kart!! Yup, not joking! Well, lo and behold my brother had his old go-kart sitting at my mom's house just collecting dust. Eric repainted it and got the motor working so this video is from that day. I was surprised by Gracie's willingness to get on. She had her helmet ready and was even trying to drive it herself. She has to ride with me but Ethan can reach the pedals (part where I cringe!!). Of course, Ethan and my biggest child Eric loved it! I would be lying if I didn't say that it isn't fun to drive but it is scary to see my baby drive it away. Ethan just replies with "Uggh Mom, it is just like my 4 wheeler!" No buddy...your "4 wheeler" is battery powered and goes maybe 5 mph. He still doesn't see the difference. He just knows where the gas and brake pedal and it seems the same to him.
