Baby Shower

First, I want to say that I am surrounded by such wonderful people who have gone out of their way to give me such a beautiful baby shower. We had it at the clubhouse and I don’t think Martha herself could have decorated it better. The food was delicious as well as the pretty pink cake! However, the best part of the day was being able to spend time with all of the friends that I have made here at Wright-Patt. It will defiantly make leaving here hard because I will sure miss them. If only I could take them all with me. Brenda, Carmen, and Jennifer did such a great job hosting. If it weren’t for the military, I hate to say I would’ve of never made such great friends.

Always Learning

After hearing so many great things about this center, we finally got the chance to go and check it out for ourselves. It is called COSI, which means Center for Science and Industry. It is an “all hands on” kind of place that is great for people of all ages. I think we enjoyed it as much as Ethan did. They have so many great exhibits and Ethan was busy taking it all in. By the time we left, we were exhausted from all the playing!

9 Months!!

Thank GOD! The end is in sight and hopefully she feels the same way. We are so ready to meet her and I am ready to have my body back. Thankfully, Eric has finished his thesis. Which is a big relief because now I know I can count on him when I need a hand with Ethan and her.

Frigid Weather

Since it was so cold, we were all stuck inside the house this weekend. At noon today, it was 11 degrees but with a wind chill of -4. What really irritated me was that Alaska was in the 20's! We really can't wait for warmer weather. Here are two videos of Ethan playing and being his crazy self.

Get Moving

Now that we are getting close to being about a month away from welcoming our little girl into the world, I am pleading for this month to go super fast because I am so exhausted and can’t move the way I want to move. Ethan has had enough and gets impatient with me on not being able to do everything I used to do with him. Poor little guy will say, “Mom, come play mom” repeatedly. However, after 20 minutes on the floor, my back is killing me and I get so uncomfortable that I need to get up and move. Thankfully, Eric has been very good about jumping in and helping me but I really wish I had more energy and mobility to keep up with him. For instance, when he wants me to read to him, he will bring a book over and take his usually place in my lap. However, with my belly in the way he can’t sit still because he is constantly trying to push my belly in with his body. He gives me this look like, What is your problem, Mom? I just wish I had more energy to keep up with him. I really want things to stay the same way because once she does come along; I don’t want him to freak out and think that he his being pushed aside. I hope that once Eric finishes his thesis, which is supposed to be within the next couple of days, we can all just have a relaxing month before she is born. Eric and I were mentioning that we were ready for another cruise. I need another vacation!

Blues Clues Mania

Yesterday was Ethan’s 2nd Birthday Party. Of course, we had a Blues Clues theme party and invited all of our friends. He was so excited to see all of his buddies and was especially thrilled about opening his presents. He was spoiled rotten by all of the gifts he received at the party and we are still opening gifts from family. He has been opening presents for one whole month being that his birthday is so close to Christmas. Let us hope he understands that it is over and doesn’t freak out when there are no more gifts next month. We had a great time catching up with friends and I hate to say that we only have a couple more months left with them before we move; we are going to miss them all dearly. Of course, the kids were running around and I thought that Ethan was going to pass out once we got home but he was so wound up from his party that it took him a good hour just to calm down but once he did, he passed out from exhaustion. Some of the pics below are from the party and the others are from Ethan playing with his toys. As soon as he woke up, he went straight for them. I can’t believe my baby is 2!

I am so proud of my hubby, he did all the decorating.

He couldn't wait to hit the guitar pinata. Look at his perfect stance.

Happy Birthday Ethan!

Today is a very special day because our little one turns two years old! Time just flies by. We cannot believe how much he has changed and continues to amaze us each day by his little antics. He has really grown into his own little person. He is a pure boy, he is so active and enjoys playing the mischievous role a little too much. We enjoy watching him grow especially now that he is learning so many new words and phrases. It actually makes some conversations quite interesting. We cannot wait to see what how Ethan grows into his new age and continues to learn new things.

However, we did have a rough start today because I was at the hospital for half of the day. Around three this morning I woke up feeling so horrible with a fever, chills and I was having irregular contractions. Even though, they were irregular, they were still painful. Well, after some blood work and an exam the doctor just concluded that even though I was having some irregular contractions I wasn’t dilating. He said that since I am now 34 weeks he can’t give me anything to stop the contractions. Basically, grin and bear it!

Today was also our wedding anniversary. Eric and I enjoyed a nice grown up evening out knowing it may be our last for a while once this little comes. We honestly think she will make her debut on Valentines Day. Not that it may be cute to born on Valentines or anything. Just saying that since Ethan was born on our anniversary and watch her be born on Valentines. Our romantic holidays would be shot!

Happy New Year!

We hope that everyone started the new year off with a bang. We hung out with a few friends on our block and enjoyed good food and games. Ethan was glued to Guitar Hero all night as you can see by the picture below. The beginning of this year will be busy for us with a new baby, graduation, and a move to Texas. We are excited to see what the new year will bring us. We wish you all the same in the new year.

The other pictures are of our little Picasso. He has been playing with crayons for a while and has never written on anything except his coloring book. So...he got a desk for Christmas so he could practice his artistic techniques. We were going to get him an easel, but as you can see, we saved a bunch of money because our walls are white and Ethan just uses them as his own personal easel. Luckily the whole house is white, so he will never run out of drawing space.
