Webelo 2

Ethan is now officially a Webelo 2!  He loves being a cub scout and
I love how much he learns about responsibility, accountability and compassion.
The pictures below are from the last cub scout meeting and Ethan was asked to carry the flag in.

So long 4th, 2nd and Kinder!

Another school year completed!
Unfortunately, the last day wasn't as joyous because we had one kiddo sick with pink eye and the end of the school year also signified that we were set to move across the country again.

It's tough being a military kid and always having to pick up and move after making so many new friends.  They don't complain and are often times excited about the new experiences to come.  We are very lucky that they are such troopers.  They really are our little heroes.

2016 Achievements and Awards

Ethan did a fantastic job this school year and made "A" Honor Roll!!!

Gracie also did a fantastic job and made "A" Honor Roll!!!!

Gracie with her 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Henderson

Lexie graduated Kindergarten this year and her class put on a cute skit to celebrate all their hard work.  She loves to dance so it was perfect for her.

Lexie with Ms. Mims, Mrs. Harris, and Mr. Parish

This teacher trio made it a memorable year! Lexie was very lucky to have them and I wish we could move them with us everywhere.  Her last day was a very sad day and I felt super lucky that my little girl was loved that much.  Lexie is a unique little girl, and to find people who lovingly take on the challenge of teaching her not only warms my heart, but also makes me realize how lucky we truly are to have met them.

Wackadoo Zoo

Gracie and the entire second grade put on an adorable play to celebrate the end of the school year.  It was super cute watching these little kiddos act and sing. Gracie auditioned for Narrator #2 and got it!  She was super nervous, but she did an excellent job and knew her lines inside and out.
She even knew everyone else's lines too!

That doesn't really surprise me though, because she takes school very seriously and will even demand to complete projects way before they are even due.  Eric and I have no idea where she gets that from.
Let's cross our fingers that she stays that way!

Life in Between

Ethan's looking super excited at his Cub Scout's Blue and Gold ceremony!  Love my little nerd!

I caught Eli in the act of destroying our silverware drawer.
The knives have been moved and I can't wait for this stage to be over.

Rain Gutter Regatta for cub scouts!

Eli's cuddles are hard to come by, but when you do catch one it's pretty awesome!

Toothless sisters!

My kids go absolutely nuts when I get in the trampoline with them.  They don't care how fast or high I can jump, just as long as we are jumping together.

Opening Easter presents gets me just as excited too!

This little guy drives me crazy, but I still can't pry myself away from him
without smothering him with kisses.

My running partner has cooler kicks than me.

Wine and game night with the ladies!

International Culture Day thanks to ACSC and the 70+ families that cooked for us!

Field trip fun for Lexie

Rocking the purple for Military Child Month

Pure happiness for this sweet girl!

This girl takes my breath away....

.....and this girl makes me laugh until I can't breathe.  I just love her carefree personality!

Our Teacher Appreciation Gifts from Tatertots and Jello.  Candy with a movie gift card!

Precious Mother's Day gifts that I will cherish for many years to come.
Ethan's card is the pink one and the cutout says, "Mom stinks".
Once it's opened, it says," Mom is awesome. School stinks.

I told him that he may turn out to be an amazing writer
because he has already realized that you have to grab the readers attention right off the bat!

No time for a siesta when there's a fiesta!

Our year in Alabama has flown by and it's almost time for us to be making our way to our next duty station which will be in South Dakota.  We're excited to see what new adventures are awaiting for us, but like every place that we have called home, we are sad to leave our sweet friends.

To kick off this transition period, we invited our friends over for one last family get together before the movers show up and we have to say our 'see you later' goodbyes.  Seeing how Cinco de Mayo was approaching, a fiesta seemed like the perfect way to celebrate this chapter with our friends.   The taco bar was hot and the margaritas were cold.  Plus, the kids had fun jumping on the trampoline and hitting the piñata.

I think it's safe to say that every child slept really good that night.
Lexie turned into our party animal and lasted longer than her sister and brothers.
She was having that much fun and I think she really enjoyed having the trampoline to herself
after it was busy all night.

I'm really going to miss these sweet families and once again,
I'm grateful to the military for bringing them into our lives.

Me and my sweet girls!

Churo, anyone?
