Eric's 1st Marathon

Number 11 did what I'm too chicken to do myself.  Eric ran the Deadwood Mickelson Trail Marathon and checked another box off of his list!  For his first marathon, he got 84th overall and for his age group he got 10th place!  Total time was 4:41:55.  He said the steady incline first half without shade was the toughest part and the unseasonable hot weather didn't seem to help.  I'm glad I was there to cheer him over the finish line!

Bridging from Brownie to Junior!

Another year of Girl Scout fun and knowledge has come to an end.  Gracie has bridged over from Brownie to Junior rank and I will be co-leading her Junior Troop.  We're excited for the adventures to come and can't wait to see where Girl Scouts continues to take her!

I ordered these adorable cookies for the last meeting!

Devils Tower, Wyoming

Once the weekends hit, we make sure to utilize all the gorgeous weather by getting outside and exploring the area.  Devils Tower is a must see and we enjoyed exploring it on such a beautiful day!

We took this picture because the only incident we had was a branch to the face.
Notice the red scratch!  Still smiling though.

They named this Turtle Head Rock!

Spring Band Recital

At the beginning of the year, the 5th graders were given a choice; play band which will be a requirement in 6th grade or do chorus for another year.  Ethan has never showed any interest in playing a musical instrument, but it looks like he just needed to be asked because he choose band.  I was surprised and I'm not going to lie that I silently prayed that the money we spent on his instrument wouldn't go to waste.  He has done a great job and has played his instrument quite well!

I was able to get a little video of Ethan playing!

Take Me Out to the Ball Game!

It was a short and unreliable spring, but that didn't keep my guys away from the baseball fields!
Ethan did an outstanding job playing and loved having Eric as an Assistant Coach.
This season kept both boys super busy between practices and games,
but I don't think they've had enough because they're still talking about it!
Ethan's favorite part was pitching and in the last game, he pitched 7 consecutive strike-outs!
His team finished the season with 12 wins and 2 losses.  We're pretty proud!

A team parent donated her photography services and I think the pictures came out soooo cute!
