Thanksgiving Feast

As you can imagine we were very thankful this Thanksgiving because Eli was finally HOME!
I am typing this one week out from his last surgery and his shunt still seems to be working.
I can't imagine a better Thanksgiving. I had all of my babies under one roof, a scrumptious meal on the table and my love sitting next to me!

 Our little turkey hands!

The weather happened to be gorgeous that day so there was a lot of
outdoor play while I was busy cooking!

I happened to glance out the window and this is what I saw.

Let's EAT!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Land of Enchantment Buddies!

Our good friends the Rascon's, who are also from New Mexico but we didn't meet till we were living in San Antonio, flew in for a visit right before Thanksgiving.
We always have such a good time and the laughing never seems to end!
Our kiddos love each other like cousins and I secretly hope their youngest marries Gracie.
She will probably eat him alive, but he is so sweet and has the cutest smile.
Eli was in the hospital recovering form his 3rd surgery so he didn't get to tag along.

Fabulous Friends, First Tooth and Freezer Meals

After Eli's 2nd surgery our friend Amanda and her daughters visited with us for one week. She drove down from upstate NY to help us while we were busy trying to get Eli home. She and her daughters were such a huge help during such a stressful time. Between her watching my kiddos so Eric and I could go to the hospital, doing my laundry, and cleaning my house, she also made sure to leave me a ton of meals stocked up in my freezer. It was a relief to have a dear friend to lean on . She helped us physically and mentally calm down.

During their visit Ethan lost his first tooth!
The tooth fairy left him $5.00 which also happens to be
the exact amount Rayven's tooth fairy left for her first tooth. ;)

Pics of the kiddos holding baby brother.

Reese and Eli spending quality together. I can't believe I didn't get any pictures of the older kiddos
playing together, but they pretty much lived outside the entire time.

Amanda and I

I am very thankful for all of my friends and quite speechless when it comes to their love and generosity! We have received so many wonderful gifts, restaurant gift cards, sweet treats in the mail and a ton of "Just say the word and I will be on the next flight in" promises! I can't believe that I have been so blessed to have so many remarkable woman in my life who not only love me, but truly love my family. I will NEVER EVER forget the way they love and care for my very special children.

I have posted this quote on my blog before and I still LOVE it today!
My friends remind me, by their very steadfastness, that truth, beauty, and goodness exist in the world, and that, no matter what, there are and always will be people loving people through thick and thin.

Cub Scout Bobcat!

Ethan earned his Bobcat badge awhile back!
They painted each others faces to signify the transition.
He really likes being a cub scout!

Lexie's Christmas List

Shopping for Lexie can be a little daunting because she is not like a "normal" 3 year old. Typically toys that are made for her age group do not seem to grasp her attention. I have been asked by our family and friends to compile a list. If I have a hard time figuring her out than I know they could really use some help. Here you go!

Clothes are always a good choice! She is wearing a 3T in top and bottoms, but in jeans I would say she is still a 2T due to her small waist. I think skinny jeans look the best on her because they don't drag when she tries to walk and they don't need to be tightened that much.
Tights and hair bows are always a hit too!
 Melissa and Doug Latch Board
When I saw this I immediately thought of Lexie. This is such a great idea for developing fine motor skills while looking very much like a toy. I am hoping that if she masters this, her pincher grasp will become stronger which may help her self feed.

Bandana Bibs
I have made a few for Lexie, but she could definitely use more.
I love how stylish they are and that she will actually leave them on.
Here are few Etsy sites that have caught my attention.

If you have held Lexie or have seen me hold Lexie than
you are fully aware of the fact that Lexie is constantly moving. She craves motion and I think it helps her feel aware of her body. I think this would help her soothe the constant need for motion, but also be fun for her as well. Who doesn't like Scooters?!

 Anywhere Chair
We are slowly getting to the point where Lexie is going to be too big to use restaurant high chairs. With her long legs, it is the putting her in and taking her out that is getting harder.  However, due to her being a natural explorer, a regular chair by itself is not such a good idea.
I like this one and this one

Toddler Slide
Lexie loves slides! As soon as she spots one, she turns into a wiggle worm trying to escape my arms.
This will be going into her room because I know it will be a toy that she will play with constantly. Hopefully during those mornings when she wakes up before 6!
I like both of these because they have landings on the top
just in case she needs help balancing herself to go down the slide.
