For the past month Ethan had been begging Eric to help him build a robot and this weekend they finally were able to do it. Ethan got a book from one of his grandparents showing kids how to make robots using household recyclables. I think it turned out really great.
This blog gives our family and friends a chance to be involved in our lives and watch our children grow. We have been blessed with four beautiful children; Ethan, Gracie, Lexie & Eli. Lexie and Eli were both born with Hydrocephalus. Siblings with Hydrocephalus is rare, yet not unheard of.

Sweet Lexie
Her surgery has been scheduled for August 16th. The logical part of myself is happy that she will be getting this surgery but the mommy part is not ready to hand her over to them. I would rather we drive on by that hospital and never look back. The whole surgery just sounds horrible and I am really worried on how she will feel afterwards. Don't get me wrong, the doctor is really wonderful and comes highly recommended but she is still a doctor and not her mother.
She is such a mellow, happy baby. She doesn't give me the ugly face when I feed her veggies. She hardly whines or makes a fuss. Even when her physical therapist keeps making her do things she doesn't want to do. She has the cutest giggle and always wakes up with a smile on her face. I know this feeling will never ever go away but once again I think, it just isn't fair.

Giddy Up!!
Today we went to a western themed indoor playground.
The kids had a lot of fun and as we were walking out, Ethan asks, "When we can go back again?"
We all thought it was a really cute place.

I tried to turn her the other way but she made it clear that I was wrong and she was right!

This thing was really cool and was a favorite among the kids....and ,yes, myself too.
It rotates as you climb up on the sides.

I love this picture because it shows how gravity is working against Gracie.
She ended up falling on her face,
but she got back in there and remembered what to do.

Since Lexie is too small for the playground she ended up playing on the floor with Natalie.
As you can see she was getting hungry and Natalie must of been looking really good.
I love Natalie's face in this picture "I know this girl is not about to suck on my head"!

This picture would of been fitting 20 minutes later during one of her tantrums.

Celebrations
We have just returned from visiting our family and enjoyed a great week full of celebrations. We started the week off with introducing Lexie to her extended family members who covered her with kisses and hugs and a 4th of July parade. Of course, Ethan and Gracie were just as excited to see everyone including their cousins. They loved watching their cousins light fireworks, were ecstatic about going down the slip 'n' slide with each other, pretended to build sandcastles at White Sands and were in hog heaven being spoiled by their grandparents and great grandparents. Then on Sunday we enjoyed a full day of patriotic barbecues complete with strawberry pie and root beer floats. Lexie and I enjoyed the fireworks from the quietness of the house while Ethan, Gracie and Eric watched them in full view. Then on our last day we attended my cousin De'Joire's wedding. She married a great guy who we call Coop and I just know by his sense of humor he will definitely fit nicely into our family. That is if we don't scare him off ;) The beautiful ceremony was held at White Sands and afterward we celebrated the joyous occasion the only way we know how....eating up a storm and dancing the night away!
Of course, what is a parade without one screaming child
upset that she didn't beat her brother to the candy.

♫ Saturday in the park, I think it was the fourth of July ♫
We are on our way home to celebrate the 4th of July with our families and to attend my cousin's wedding. We are looking forward to all of the good times to be had. Hopefully, our little ones will be little angels on the drive home.
HAVE A HAPPY 4th OF JULY!!!!!
