Spring Break Tradition

Our entire family looks forward to Spring Break. Who doesn't?!  A week off of school, sports, and responsibilities; the obligations are endless.  Before that week even arrives, we start getting excited about the one tradition that we always abide by during Spring Break.  Building and playing in Fort Ashe.  Our downstairs becomes a blanket covered hideout which is stuffed with pillows, books, and toys.  While the fort keeps the kids busy enough, I like to throw in a couple crafts and activities to ensure maximum creativity.  Our theme this year was Everything Spring.  We're ready for winter to finally leave us, so the hope of spring is looming over everyone's head.  A bonus for this year's fort was that Eric was able to join us.  He had the day off, and even though he tried to conceal it, he was just as excited as the kids were.
It was a beautiful day and I treasure these little moments.

Eric was in dress-up mode as well.  Very Spartan like.
