No laughing!

Ethan has been saying the word top for some time now and we were confused on how he learned it being that it is rarely said. However, Eric figured out that Ethan hasn’t been saying top and has actually been saying stop. He just can’t pronounce the s yet. We know he has gotten it from us always yelling at Jager to “Stop barking”. So whenever Ethan hears barking he says “Top, Top”. It was cute until he figured out that it is not just a command for the dog. For example, Ethan was running into the TV and banging the screen with his hands. After being told twice to stop doing it and him giving us the guilty smirk, Eric placed Ethan in the naughty corner and told him to sit there. Once Eric would leave, Ethan would escape. Then Eric would walk him right back and sit him down. After the third time of doing this, Ethan starts crying “DADA TOP, DADA TOP”. It would’ve of been fine but once Eric heard this he had to turn away because he was about ready to die laughing. Of course that pushes me over the edge to the point where I needed to leave the room. We know that we can’t laugh because then he will think it is funny and continue with the bad behavior but it is so hard especially when I can still hear his voice saying Dada top!
