Every place that the military sends us, Eric and I try to get the most out of the location. As soon as we moved to South Dakota, I listed snowmobiling on the bucket list and today I was able to cross it off! Eric and I booked the sitter and we escaped to the Black Hills for a little fun in the snow! It was cold, windy, but we had a blast! I can see why people purchase these toys and how much fun they can be. We drove for about 2 hours all through the Black Hills, stopped for lunch at Spearfish Lodge and then drove for another 2 hours. We even ended up in Wyoming for a bit. There are many trails and so many things to see that I would do it again if only we had the time. Such a great date day with my one and only!
This blog gives our family and friends a chance to be involved in our lives and watch our children grow. We have been blessed with four beautiful children; Ethan, Gracie, Lexie & Eli. Lexie and Eli were both born with Hydrocephalus. Siblings with Hydrocephalus is rare, yet not unheard of.

Stratobowl Rim Trailhead
We finally had a nice day where the temperatures were tolerable, so we ventured outside for a hike.
We made our way to the Stratobowl Rim Trailhead outside of Rapid City to check it out. Lexie did fantastic and she has come a long way when it comes to hiking, so it really was a great day. She's getting so much better at keeping her footing and now just needs to teach her younger brother.
Taken from a website..."in 1934 and 1935, the Army Air Corps and National Geographic Society launched manned balloon flights into the stratosphere to a record 72,395 feet. It was then that this little valley became known as the "Stratobowl" and the birthplace of the space age.
