Fort Ashe Day

A couple of weeks ago, Ethan mentioned that we haven't had a fort day in a very long time. I started thinking about it and he was correct. The last time was quite a long time ago. However, our spring break is this week and I couldn't think of a better way to start it off. Last night during our bedtime routine, I told them that I had a huge surprise for them. So this morning after I told them what were going to do today Ethan replies with, " I hope we have enough time to do all that." I assured him that we would have enough time and we were just going to have fun. After a really fast breakfast, they raced upstairs to put on their favorite costumes and hurried back down to begin the festivities. Lexie just hung out in her PJ's because costumes and crawling just don't do well together.

My favorite quotes of the day:
Ethan- "Mom made us invisible ice! She is like a magician or something"
Ethan-"Man, I love Spring Break!"
Gracie-"No farting or burping in the fort, Ethan"
Absolute favorite was from Ethan- "I can't wait to grow up and make forts with my kids" The growing up part isn't my favorite, but the part about him doing these activities with his children made me smile. Out of everything I do for them, I want them to remember that I did really try hard to give them a great childhood!

Here they are looking at a map and were telling which people would probably receive their post cards first and which ones may get it last. This was a great way for the kiddos to learn about state abbreviations. They really enjoyed it.

This has to be one of my new favorite activities- Easter Egg Craft.
It was extremely easy and the end result was so cool!

We also enjoyed having a Nerf Aiming Competition.

Since we had the paint out, we got to do another Spring Project!

I have to say, It was a GREAT DAY!
I love hearing my kiddos laugh and enjoy being their age!

Two Year MRI Results

This is long overdue and I think I am late at posting because there really isn't much to tell. Her brain hasn't changed much from her one year scan. It hasn't necessarily grown more but it also hasn't gotten worse. They did come to a decision regarding her last seizure though. She is going to continue the seizure medicine at the same dosage she is at now and we are just going to let her grow out of it. Once that is done, we will see if that was basically a fluke or if she will need it again. However, at the rate that this little girl puts on weight, I don't see it happening for a long while. She is tall and very skinny!

Spring Fling

Ethan is having a Spring Fling party tomorrow and we were asked to bring a dozen cupcakes. They had to be store bought, but we jazzed them up a bit. I kinda wish that I would of had the store make more so I could keep a few because they are just too cute!

Lexie never smiles for the camera so when she was acting silly, I made sure to get as many pictures out of her as I could! Went a little crazy but I love them!

Happy Birthday Gracie!!!!

Saturday our little Gracie turned 4 years old! She had been anxiously awaiting her birthday for a few weeks now so she was beyond thrilled when it finally came. I was 100% certain that Gracie was going to choose to have a birthday party because her brother had a party and she typically follows in his footsteps. However, she had other things on her mind because she immediately told me that there was going to be no party. She wanted to get a manicure and pedicure, go out to dinner on the river walk and then come home for a presents and a Tangled cake. I was somewhat surprised by the no party idea but not by the mani-pedi idea. Gracie is a total girly girl so that is right up her alley. I really thought she was going to change her mind about the party but she held her ground. So on Saturday her and I went straight to the nail salon for some pampering which she absolutely loved. As soon as we walked in she was already taking her shoes off and rolling up her jeans. You would think that she was a regular customer by the way she was acting. All I could do the whole time was day dream about all of the wonderful moments her and I will share doing girly girl things. Unfortunately for us it was pouring that day so the river walk was out but Gracie had no problem filling it's spot with Peter Piper's Pizza. Which is where we headed to after her nails were completely dry. After lunch, we finished off the afternoon with cake and presents at home. She told us she had a wonderful day and I believe her! She had her mind set how she wanted to spend her special day and we were just happy to be apart of it!
