South Dakota is a state that relies heavily on it's outdoor recreation. Which is only awesome when the weather is behaving. Today it was, so we went exploring Badlands National Park. We left the kids at home with a sitter and set forth to enjoy a day of hiking and lunch. We treasure our alone time, but there's only so many times that I want to waste our dates at the movies, so I try to find things in the surrounding area that we can do in a couple of hours and that require more skill and coordination that our kiddos can keep up with. We chose the challenging hikes and had a great time talking our way through the Badlands!
