Day Date at Mind Blown!

Being in the military means we sometimes hear about these really cool and unique places that bring character to the state.  We drove to Deadwood, SD to check out a friend's recommendation.  It's a super cool coffee shop/restaurant that is also a glass blowing studio!  Hands down the best Chia Tea I've ever had, but the glass blowing is what blew our minds away.  Now we know where they got their name from Ha. ;)  Eric made a cup and I made a heart paperweight.  Eric mastered it quite easily whereas I've accepted that my artistic side is about artistic as a lump of wood. 

 It was a great day and we had a lot of fun! 

BIG TEN DAY

DOUBLE DIGITS for this sweet girl!  Being a perfectionist and a mini Destiny, Aka Control Freak,  she planned her entire birthday and made sure it ran according to plan.  From the snacks at her sleepover to baking and decorating her own cake, her birthday was perfectly suited to her.  We started the evening off with picking up her friend, Lynzee, for a dinner date at Gracie's favorite restaurant, Taco Bell...hehehe.   Then we headed home for cake, presents, and to begin her birthday sleepover.  They had a movie night and partied into the night.  Then per her request, it was her Dad's Famous French Toast for breakfast.  It turned out to be the best sleepover to welcome a big birthday.  For her birthday lunch, she requested pizza with her guy bestie, Coltin.  It was fun celebrating our Gracie Goose and I just love how she planned and executed her birthday plans flawlessly.

Ellsworth Awards Ceremony 18'

We had a fantastic night with our military family as we celebrated all the hard work and dedication of key people that enhance the day to day operations at Ellsworth AFB.  Active Duty, civilian and volunteer awards were given throughout the night.  It's the last year of Eric's command and his squadron sure went out with a bang.  They had three nominations and all three won!!!  

I'm so proud of him and his squadron and how far they've come as a unit.  It was a tough two years with many bumps, but his squadron deserved a little reprieve and a night to enjoy!
